Theses and Projects
We always have open topics for BSc and MSc theses or projects. If you’re interested in doing your thesis with us, please contact Prof. Dr. David B. Blumenthal and Dr. Anne Hartebrodt (please do not send two separate e-mails) with your CV and a transcript of records. Instead of a motivation letter, please either formulate 3 research questions to the topic of your choice (linked below), OR write a one page outline of the approach you would take. We are aware that not all applicants have relevant expertise in bioinformatics and will evaluate the application accordingly. You are welcome to submit your own topic, related to network science and bioinformatics in the broader sense.
- Topic gene regulatory network inference on transcript isoform level
- Topic single cell analysis
- Topic gene regulatory networks
- Topic carbon-aware computing
